On 25–26 May 2026, the Institute of Civil Engineering of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University will host the 1st International Scientific Conference “Urban Infrastructure Ecology – 2026”. The conference will be held in a hybrid format with the option of remote participation.

Working languages: Russian and English.
The conference welcomes PhD students, researchers, academics, and experts from universities and environmental organizations in the Russian Federation and abroad, including participants from the Republic of Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, China, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Mali, and other countries.
The conference programme will be made available later.
Following the conference, a Proceedings volume indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI/RINC) will be published. The best presentations in English will be published free of charge in the Lecture Notes in Civil Engineering series by Springer Nature, indexed in Scopus (Q4).
Based on the session results, the best contributions will be awarded certificates (diplomas).
Within the framework of the conference-seminar, the following topics are planned for discussion:
- environmental monitoring of the urban environment;
- environmental safety of urban infrastructure and risk management;
- urban aquatic environment ecology and advanced wastewater treatment technologies;
- air quality and climate within urban infrastructure: flue-gas treatment and decarbonization;
- advanced technologies within the circular economy framework;
- biotechnologies for ensuring the environmental sustainability of urban infrastructure and for site restoration;
- rational use of natural resources and “green” technologies for the urban environment;
- digital technologies and modelling in urban environmental management.
The conference scope may be expanded based on participants’ proposals and submitted materials.
Manuscripts for publication should be submitted no later than 17 April 2026 to prom.ecology2025@mail.ru. The paper language may be Russian or English. The acceptable length is not less than two and not more than three full pages. Failure to comply with the formatting requirements will result in rejection. Peer review will take place from 20 to 30 April 2026. Authors are kindly requested to respond promptly during this period to reviewers’ comments sent to the e-mail address provided in the submission message.
